This is the chromium browser virus. I caught it yesterday when my browser “Chrome” told me that Flash Player needed upgrading. When I clicked the upgrade option it downloaded a zipped file. This was the first clue. I am curious so I downloaded it, decompressed and installed it. What popped up was a blue “chromium” icon extremely similar to Chrome’s browser icon. It was easily removed from “programs and features” but there where two trojans left behind.

you want to make sure you download stuff from its official site and if a popup says that you have a virus or that something is updated, don’t click it! your applications and such will normally alert you when you have an update (and if not, their websites have updates), and only clean viruses with a program you trust, because these popups are scams to try to infect your computer!
